Taylor Telecom is proud to continue its long-standing commitment to education by opening applications for the Taylor Telecom Scholarship for the 2025–2026 school year. Since 1996, this program has helped students from our rural communities pursue higher education and build strong futures close to home and beyond.
For the upcoming school year, twenty (20) $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to eligible high school seniors from Taylor Telecom member families.
Whether you plan to attend a college, university, or vocational-technical school, this scholarship is designed to support your goals and help you take the next step toward your future.
About the Taylor Telecom Scholarship
The Taylor Telecom Scholarship Program awards $5,000 per student, paid directly to the accredited institution of the student’s choice in two installments:
$2,500 for the first semester
$2,500 for the second consecutive semester, provided the student:
Successfully completes at least 12 credit hours in the first semester, and
Remains enrolled in at least 12 credit hours for the second semester
Students pursuing university, college, or vocational-technical degrees receive equal consideration.
Who Is Eligible to Apply for the Taylor Telecom Scholarship?
Applicants must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:
- Be a member of the 2026 high school graduating class
- Have at least one parent or legal guardian who is a Taylor Telecom member
- Plan to attend an accredited college, university, vocational, or technical school
- Enroll full-time (at least 12 credit hours)
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 85
The parent or legal guardian must retain active Taylor Telecom service through the release of all scholarship funds.
Required Application Materials
All applicants must submit the following by the deadline:
- Completed online scholarship application
- Official seven-semester high school transcript
- Two letters of recommendation:
- One from a teacher, counselor, or homeschool instructor
- One from a non-family adult (such as an employer, coach, pastor, or community leader)
- One from a teacher, counselor, or homeschool instructor
Incomplete applications or missing materials will result in disqualification.
How Recipients Are Selected
While strong grades are an asset, academic performance alone does not determine selection.
The Scholarship Committee conducts a holistic review of each application, considering:
- Leadership qualities
- Extracurricular involvement
- Community service and volunteerism
- Work experience
- Honors and awards
- Thoughtfulness and clarity of written responses
Optional personal or financial circumstances shared by applicants may also be considered.

Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee appointed by the Taylor Telecom Board of Directors and Management.
Award Announcements:
Recipients will be notified in early May 2026.
