Since 1951, when Taylor Telephone Cooperative, Inc. was formed, our mission has been simple: “To provide high quality essential telecommunication services and enhanced services where justified, at a market comparable price, which enhances the quality of life and economic well being of our customers and the communities we serve.” To put it simply, Taylor exists to make your life better. Historical Milestones
1977
Taylor Telephone Cooperative begins offering one-party telephone service.
1982
Taylor Telephone Cooperative begins offering tone dialing. Taylor Telephone Cooperative installs digital switches.
1994
Taylor Telephone Cooperative installs fiber optic ring
1995
Taylor Telephone Cooperative begins offering Caller ID features.
1997
Taylor Telephone Cooperative begins offering toll-free internet service.
1998
Our affiliate company becomes a member of statewide fiber network – Texas Lone Star Network- and provides part of an OC48 fiber backbone.
2006
Fiber internet becomes available in the homes of customers in Tuscola, TX.
2018
Taylor Telephone Cooperative rebrands as Taylor Telecom to better identify our position in the telecommunications industry.
